Rövid leírás:
Wood as a structural material shows a more complex mechanical behaviour than several other materials because of its biological origin, and anisotropic and inhomogeneous nature, and consequently failure is a result of complex processes. Design standards contain rules on tests for determination of mechanical properties, e.g. modulus of elasticity or strength. Understand the mechanical behaviour of the specimen during testing is supported by numerical simulations (or analytic studies). The aim of the work is to model the compression strength tests and reproduce the characteristic stress—strain curves. The topic requires application of numerical software (Ansys).
